Been doing comm-computer work since the mid-80s, Sperry-Univac 9300 and PDP11/84 systems. Moved to Sparc3/360 and 4/490 systems, then PC networking in the 90s.

Currently a system/network specialist with the State of Alaska. Mostly Windows Server management, LANDesk, WSUS, and desktop hardware/software support.

Started using Linux with early Debian - 2.x or so. Home has had a Debian server (Dell 400SC and SC420), then moved to Ubuntu and a PowerEdge 2950. Day-to-day I use an Optiplex with Ubuntu, which replaced an older Optiplex with Debian.

PA-RISC - Ended up with a 7xx workstation, then a C180. Have worked through a few versions of Debian-HPPA, then set it aside and came back just in time to discover the new unstable build don't work on the C180. This caused me to contribute some documentation on how to get unstable running on a C180 :-)
